Review Summary:

Boon Hiang Fish Ball Tang Hoon The freshness of the fish balls was a great ingredient to accentuate the taste of the noodles, added to the richness to the piquant of the noodles, which was intensely umami laden. My chubby boy once again showed his merciless glutton self, slurping up half of my bowl of the noodle on top of his plate of mee goreng. Overall, we are all impressed with the Boon Hiang Fish ball noodle, this is a rare gem not given the right publicity. If you happen to visit Haig Road Market and Food Centre, do try the noodle from them, you will not regret it.

Boon Hiang Fish Ball Tang Hoon 文香鱼丸冬粉

The old couple has been running the business for a long time selling fish ball noodles in this food centre, serving bowl after bowl of delicious fish ball noodles. The quality of the fish ball and the noodles has always been consistent, delivering bowls of sumptuous noodles to many of the loyal patrons.

There is always a soft spot on us for the fish ball noodles, especially the yummy fish ball mee pok. So far, Boon Hiang has never failed us, the mee pok may look ordinary but speculative. The noodle was not gooey or mushy but nicely seasoned with the perfect QQ texture. The chili blended very well with the noodle and literally came to a well balance of taste and texture.

The fish balls were fresh and have a nice chewy texture, bouncy bite that when complemented by the soup which was a medley of sweet and savory flavours, completely blew us away! That was some tantalizing toothsome featuring the best of culinary skills.
