Singaporean has passion for food and no exception to Japanese food, part of the reasons Rakuten decided to bring the Rakuten Japan Gourmet Festival to Singapore.

Rakuten Japan – Japan’s number one online shopping mall, known as Rakuten Ichiba in Singapore is bringing its renowned Rakuten Japan Gourmet Festival to Singapore for the very first time. A festival hugely popular in Japan since its inception in 2010, the festival brings together top merchants from Rakuten’s online marketplace in Japan to Jurong Point for 10 days, and features nearly 100 types of premium seafood, exquisite confectioneries, delicious desserts and many other delectable delights from Hokkaido, Yokohama, Tokyo, Kyoto and Shizuoka.

The event is hosted at the newly-opened WAttention Plaza, which is part of the Shokutsu Ten Japanese Food Street, located at Basement 1 of Jurong Point.

The Ginza Apple Kuchen uses Fuji apples flavoured with cinnamon, the Fuji apples are simmered to perfection to a texture smooth as silk, which are encased in a baumkuchen – a layered cake originated from Germany.

TOMITA MELON HOUSE

Red-fleshed melons from Hokkaido are used to make melon smoothies topped with soft-serve ice cream. Tomita Melon House is located in Furano, Hokkaido. Fun Fact, one cup sells every 3 minutes in Japan.

A popular brand in Japan Specialising in chocolate. The quality is unquestionable. Try the chocolate sandwich – double chocolate butter cookie filled with rich chocolate ganache. It melts in your mouth and makes you go woah!

UJI GREEN TEA DAIFUKU

This version has thick green tea cream paste made from Uji green tea, blended with fresh cream and wrapped with a soft, chewy mochi skin.

Also known as the Japanese Seafood Parfait, this chirashi features premium Japanese rice, topped with ikura (salmon roe), salmon and tuna belly. It will be loved by all seafood lover.
