Review Summary:

Out of the four types of ramen we tried at Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King Matsuri, seriously, only the Sanjya ramen is the one that more stands out, may be the spiciness helps to heighten the flavour but the rest just can’t excite our tastebuds too much. However, the Gyoza and Nanban both are top notch here and worth to try.

Ramen Tonkotsu 13.9

Fairly standard Tonkotsu broth ramen.

Ramen Sanjya 15.9

tonkotsu-king-matsuri-2

Tonkotsu Ramen Sanjya features three different types of spices to get the taste buds tingling. The red, green and black spicy sauce blended fairly well with the Tonkotsu broth, both creamy and compelling and was embraced with the nods from all of us.

Ramen Awaodori 13.9

tonkotsu-king-matsuri-5

Tokushima style ramen with pork Sukiyaki and raw egg yolk, sweetness dominant the taste instead of the savoury or spicy Tonkotsu broth we used to, you can easily feel cloying just after a few mouthful of the noodles. Definitely not something to our liking.

Ramen Yuki Matsuri 15.9

tonkotsu-king-matsuri-3

Miso Tonkotsu ramen with powder cheese, the cheese boosted the already flavour-rich broth, the luscious cheesy bowl of ramen was a little overloaded for us and getting cloying before we can empty the bowl.

Nanban with Tartar sauce 9

Nanban is a classic fried chicken from the southern Japan, the flavours blend beautifully in each of the bite, The chunk of meat is stunningly tender and a dip of the Tartar sauce compliment well with the chicken. Do not miss it in your order.

Gyoza 10pcs 10

Thin gyoza skin, juicy and tasty, it perfectly embodies the invigorating in the mouth thrill of a good gyoza. Must try.
