Review Summary:

The broth of the stock was scrumptious in the taste, you can taste the sweetness and flavoursome of the chicken stock, the soup was not too thick or diluted but cooked to the right level of concentration. The yellow noodle completely absorbed the essence of the stock and gave the mee soto a big boost. The shredded chicken condiment carried the aroma of the chicken soup and made it a perfect accompaniment with the noodle

It is not easy to find good food with a cheap price tag in our food centres any more, as a plate of chicken rice can easily cost you three to four dollars and a soupy noodle hardly goes below the three dollars mark. So, when the bowl of mee soto we ordered only costs us a meager of two dollars, we applauded the stall for helping to keep the cost of living low and differentiated from other soaring hawker food price.

The owner is far from stingy for the two dollars tag of mee soto, the portion of the noodle was surprising generous, the topping of shredded chicken matched the size of the noodle with a generous serving, it was a bowl of mee soto definitely worth more than the value defined.

Cheap has to be good and that was the reason why the stall impressed us. The soup is made from the chicken stock and some other spices. Soto mee usually adds condiments like shredded chicken, bean sprout and coriander, you can ask for more chili to give the bowl of noodle the extra kick, but do be aware that the chili is powerful and it will burn if you are not the chili tolerable type.

Overall, Wak Din mee soto or soto mee is value for the money with above average quality and definitely way above average for the price.
