Review Summary:

The mee pok was cooked perfectly with the desirable texture, not too soggy or too dry. The seasoning was pretty good, blended well with the noodle to give it a nice and flavourful taste, we especially like the chili mixture which was able to give the noodle the much needed punch. The bowl of the soup that served along with the mee pok had a taste of sweetness and alluring intense nice flavour, likely derived from the long hours of the boiling of animal bone and the presence of expensive dried sole fish in the soup base.

My family used to visit the Hainanese Village Centre at least once per month to buy the seafood and fish, if you do not know; this is one of the places famous for the fresh and cheap seafood, you can be sure to find some real good deals here.

For every visit, we always never fail to order from the Yong Seng Teochew fishball noodle stall even though the queue was forever long. Since this is one of the better noodle stalls there and also my chubby boy’s favorite, we took the opportunity to review the standard as well.

There is always a reason to explain the long queue behind every food stall, the revisiting of many of the loyal patrons is a good endorsement of the quality of the noodles from the stall.

Overall, Yong Seng Teochew Fishball noodle was certainly worth the visit since we can’t really find too many big faults with the noodle anyway.
