Ah Hwee BBQ Chicken Wings is general good, not to the extent of finger licking good but good enough for the taste buds to salvage the flavour.
Ah Hwee BBQ Chicken Wings and Spring Chicken Review @ East Coast Lagoon Food Village
East Coast Lagoon Food Village – a place where the lingering aroma of barbecue meat pervaded the air, emitting from the barbecue pits along the beach and the grilling of satay and seafood from the food stalls. What can be more enjoyable with some barbecue chicken wings accompanying with the soothing sea breeze and cheerful people around. Seafood and barbecue food are inevitable choice when dining at East Coast Lagoon Food Village.
More than three decades of dealing with the wing’s business, Ah Hwee BBQ Chicken Wings has earned a name for its salivating grilled chicken wings and spring chicken. Marinated with many types of seasoning, the wings are placed in an oven and barbecue using charcoal.
Years of experience with the wings in return for some beautifully grilled chicken wings. The wings were nicely done delivered with an attractive golden brown colour and crisp skin, not too greasy or oil dripping. Meat was tender and retained the juiciness, however, the marinating period probably not long enough to allow the spices to permeate into the meat, resulted in a less flavourful taste internally.
The house-made chilli was good and helped to infuse some kicks to the overall flavour and complement well with the wings.
We never have a chance to try the spring chicken and unable to provide any comment.
Ah Hwee BBQ Chicken Wings is general good, not to the extent of finger licking good but good enough for the taste buds to salvage the flavour. Best to go with a glass of beer or simply some sugarcane drinks could make a great snack besides the main course.
