Craving For Korean Food Right Now? Here’s Top 10 Korean BBQ Restaurants To Head On To In Singapore

Last Updated on 25/04/2023 by iEat&Eat Team

As a lover of Korean cuisine, I am always on the lookout for genuine restaurants that can satisfy my cravings. Although I enjoy the traditional bibimbap and the spicy and cheesy tteokbokki, my ultimate favourite is a good Korean BBQ.

If you share the same passion for Korean food, I have compiled a list of 14 Korean BBQ restaurants in Singapore that you must visit at least once to satisfy your K-BBQ cravings!

1. Super Star K

If you ask any Korean BBQ enthusiast in Singapore about their preferred spot, they will likely recommend Super Star K. This restaurant brings to mind the ajumma-run establishments found along the alleyways of downtown Seoul, particularly those in Myeongdong. You can expect to eat your fill and exit smelling of charred meat.

The meat cuts served here are of decent quality (nothing too extravagant), such as Seasoned Beef Ribs (S$38) and Sliced Pork Belly (S$19.90), and reasonably priced. Super Star K is a great option if you don’t have a big appetite and prefer it over all-you-can-eat buffets. Servers will also cook the meat for you, and individual table vents minimize smoke from the grills.

This popular Korean BBQ restaurant has resumed business and now offers tableside delivery of their menu items.

2. Michin Korean BBQ n Hotpot

Even though it’s located on the outskirts of Sengkang at 473 Coffee Shop, Michin Korean BBQ n Hotpot deserves recognition for its restaurant-quality stall!

True to its name, this eatery offers a Korean BBQ and hotpot buffet with ingredients priced at S$1.90 per 100g, making it an affordable option. They have a vast selection of over 30 vegetables and sides for the hotpot, and customers can take as much as they want. However, beware that food wastage results in extra charges!

For an even more memorable experience, consider adding a shot of Maotai to kick things up a notch!

3. OMMA Korean Charcoal BBQ

OMMA Korean Charcoal BBQ has experienced rapid growth in Singapore, despite being founded by the Old Street Bak Kut Teh Group. One unique feature of this establishment is the ability to change the wood chips during a K-BBQ session, which is not a common occurrence.

As with most Korean restaurants, there is a free flow of banchan, including kimchi, fish cake, fried anchovies, and various vegetables. If you’re knowledgeable about different types of wood, you’ll understand how they can affect the flavour of the meats. It’s highly recommended that you visit OMMA Korean Charcoal BBQ to try all the different types of wood and even change them mid-BBQ if you so desire!

4. K.Cook Korean BBQ Buffet

K.Cook is a Korean restaurant that provides excellent value with its buffet priced at S$16.90++ for lunch and S$26.90++ for dinner. The restaurant has a spacious, open-air ambience that’s a departure from the cramped spaces that are typical of many Korean establishments.

If you’re someone who dislikes the smell of charred meat after a BBQ session, it’s best to request outdoor seating (you’ll also get a great view of Orchard Road). While the restaurant’s selection of BBQ meats and Korean dishes is basic, it’s hard to complain about the price point and convenient location.

5. Ssikkek Korean BBQ

For meat enthusiasts, Ssikkek Korean BBQ is a dream come true as it offers an extensive selection of meats. The restaurant’s buffet is a hit, priced at only S$25.80++ per adult on weekdays and S$27.80++ per adult on weekends, holiday eves, and public holidays.

When making a booking, keep in mind that there is a two-hour time limit per table for dining. It’s worth noting that you may leave smelling like a BBQ pork belly, but don’t worry, as Febreze is conveniently available at the exit for a quick spritz.

6. 2D1N Soju Bang

2D1N Soju Bang is often mistaken for Ssikkek, but it’s actually the sister restaurant located just downstairs, owned by the same proprietor.

Unlike Ssikkek, 2D1N Soju Bang doesn’t offer a buffet option, but instead provides an a la carte menu featuring Korean BBQ selections along with other Korean dishes like the So-Tteok Platter 韓式拼盘 (S$22.90) and Kimchi Pancake (S$14.90). With such a diverse menu, there’s something for everyone at 2D1N Soju Bang.

7. Chang Korean BBQ Restaurant

Website | 71 Loewen Rd, #01-01, Singapore 248847 | +65 6473 9005

Although it’s one of the more expensive Korean BBQ restaurants in town, Chang Korean BBQ Restaurant, located at Loewen Road, is worth the splurge, especially for the premium cuts like Wagyu Rib Eye (S$88 for 200gm) and Kurobuta Pork Belly (S$44 for 160gm).

The meats at Chang Korean BBQ are beautifully marbled, and the charcoal grill infuses them with a delicious smoky flavor. Notably, the staff are incredibly attentive and will do all the cooking for you, making for a stress-free dining experience where all you have to do is indulge.

Make plans to visit Chang Korean BBQ Restaurant with your family or friends today!

8. Kim’s Family Food

Kim’s Family Food provides a highly authentic Korean BBQ experience with an extensive menu. While the menu options are plentiful, BBQ sets are also available, making it easy for customers to order without feeling overwhelmed.

For the best BBQ experience, consider the Meat Platter Set, which includes beef short ribs, marinated pork collar, and belly, and is enough to satisfy two hungry adults. In addition to its BBQ offerings, this family-style restaurant also has other tasty dishes like oxtail stew and spicy kimchi pancakes.

9. Eight Korean BBQ

Website | 6 Eu Tong Sen Street, The Central, #02-79/90, Singapore 059817 | +65 8692 1188

Eight Korean BBQ is a unique American-style Korean BBQ restaurant that’s renowned for its 8 Colours Set (S$98 for 3-4 pax), featuring eight different flavours of Kurobuta pork belly, such as Curry, Miso, Garlic, and Wine.

This set is perfect for groups of four and comes with complimentary banchan (appetizers). Alongside their signature dish, Eight Korean BBQ also offers a variety of options, including Japanese Wagyu and Argentinian Grass-fed beef, fresh seafood, and cosy broths, making it a contemporary dining experience located in Clarke Quay.

It’s worth noting that they’ve implemented a two-hour time limit for dining in, so plan your visit accordingly.

10. Guiga Korean BBQ Restaurant

Facebook | 134 Tanjong Pagar Road, Singapore 088538 | +65 6221 3001

Guiga Korean BBQ Restaurant boasts BBQ meats that are sure to satisfy even the pickiest of customers. The restaurant’s interior is tastefully decorated and adorned with fairy lights, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with a distinctly Korean vibe.

However, due to poor ventilation, be prepared to leave smelling smoky! Thankfully, the staff is happy to barbecue the meats to perfection for you, making it a great option for those feeling lazy. I highly recommend trying the Thin Slice Beef Brisket (S$30), Korean Style Raw Beef (S$36), and Kimchi Pancake (S$22), as all are well-marinated and full of flavour based on my own experiences.
