We tried the both the Rangoon main and the branch at Tanjong Katong, the quality is consistent and the same for the crowd – equally packed !

The herb is more pronounced and the peppery taste is mild if compared to that of Ya Hua or Joo Siah’s bak kut, perhaps the unique aroma of herb and the pepper in the soup, the hall-mark use of fresh pork ribs, garlic and a secret blend of herbs, somehow attract many sought after the soup and crown one of the kings of Bak Kut Teh here. Though the soup is good, however, our best pick out of the five top Bak Kut Teh in Singapore sadly not goes to this well received brand, we have our secret love for another one.
