It’s how often it rains, and we all know what that means for the food people crave – warmth and familiarity. Well, it depends. But, you get my drift, right? What can beat a nice bowl of noodles whatever weather it is?

Noodles can be found anywhere and everywhere in Singapore, and for very good reason, too. The weather, the familiarity and the comfort of favourites. Need I say more? Well, of course, I do. It’s time to drop a list of all our favourite fishball noodle places. But, first, let’s understand what fishball noodles are.

Now, fishball noodles are one of the most common food in Singapore. It doesn’t matter where you are, to be honest. Whether you’re dining in a restaurant, stop by your favourite cafe or passing by one of the best fishball noodles stalls – you can grab a bowl anywhere!

Now, basically, Fishball Noodle is a staple in Singapore. Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner, it’s one of those hot bowls of love and comfort wherever you are. The bowl usually has noodles soup, noodles, fishballs, your vegetable preference and even little additional fishcakes and meat.
Now, various shops in Singapore have their own specialities when it comes to their preparations of fishball noodles. It really depends on your preference. Some like to make their own noodles and fishballs, some like to have the dry version than the warm, soupy version of the dish. The best thing about this is you know what you like. Some fishballs are prepared differently. Some people like them fried, some steamed, some sauteed. It really depends on your mood and cravings.

Their fishballs are all made fresh, and so are all their dishes. From using yellowtail fish, they make sure the experience is the best by not adding any flour or starch to their fishball or dumplings. They definitely make one of the meanest fishball noodles, no kidding!
They have two variations of their fishball noodles – the premium preparation and the supreme preparation. Now, those are the two most must-tick off your list! Other must-haves are laksa, fish dumpling noodles and Kway Teow!

Aside from that, their main ingredient for the fishballs is the yellowtail fish – pure, sumptuous fishballs. Their other dishes that serve the same rite; dumplings and fishcakes are also made from fresh fish.

Ming Fa Fishball is one of the shops that make everything fresh and real. Their fishballs are made of real fish, made right before they cook it to be served as well. Aside from their fresh fishball noodles, they also offer other dishes like mini hotpots of their signature meatballs and fishballs, Laksa, Minced Meat Noodles and Curry Chicken. If you pass by Hougang Hainanese Village Centre, you will definitely get a chance to try out Yong Seng Teochew Fishball Noodles. Hong Xing Handmade Fishball & Meatball Noodle is one of the best-serving hawker stalls in Singapore. They sell out quite early so if you do wanna try them out, make sure to go early! Their fishball noodles are a Heavenly bowl of steaming hot soup and you can even get the toppings you’ve always wanted – spring onions, pickled mustard and pepper.
If there was a star on this list, it would be Hong Xing Handmade Fishball & Meatball Noodle. If you pass by their stall, just get a bowl. You will love it!
